Groups

Creativity, connection and shared experience

There is something powerful about creating alongside others.

Art therapy groups offer a supportive space for creative expression, reflection and connection. Working alongside others can reduce isolation, foster a sense of belonging and provide opportunities to see experiences from new perspectives.

Groups are adapted to the needs and interests of participants and may include creative invitations, individual art making, shared reflection and conversation. No art making experience is needed, and participants can choose how much they wish to share.

Groups may be offered for children, young people and adults, including NDIS participants, community groups and people brought together by shared experiences or interests.

Groups for children and young people

Creative processes can provide children and young people with a natural way to communicate experiences and emotions that may be difficult to put into words. Within a supportive group, art making can encourage self-expression, confidence, emotional awareness and connection with others.

Groups are thoughtfully structured according to the age and needs of participants, balancing creative exploration with opportunities for connection and shared experience.
